Sir — This refers to the report, “Tirupati rises as one against Islamic varsity” (October 21). The report informs that one little-known Nowhera Shaikh, who declined to reveal her educational and professional background, is the CEO of Heera Group, that has set up the an International Islamic Women’s College in Tirupati. The building is six-storey high and has a boundary wall, which is four metre high.
All of these raise suspicions in the minds of the people. The most unfortunate aspect is that the district administration has declined to reveal how Shaikh managed to get temple land for her project.The local Hindus community must resist this project legally and nip the mischief in the bud.
