Sir — This refers to the editorial, “People suffer, he laughs” (April 9). Some politicians suffer from foot-in-the-mouth disease, and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar is a fine example of this malaise.
Mr Pawar’s remarks were indecent, callous and reprehensible, to say the least. It’s high time such gutter utterances are taken cognisance of by competent authorities. Arrogant, corrupt and inefficient politicians should not be allowed to get away with such remarks, and treat the common man with such utter disdain.
