Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Empty words, no more” (January 29). Rahul Gandhi’s deflective attitude in his interview is highly disappointing. As a prime ministerial candidate, he should have addressed the questions head-on, instead of dodging them. He needs to take cognizance of the fact that latching on to the issue of Gujarat violence to debase Mr Narendra Modi, and his “We brought the RTI and lokpal” sing-song, are not fooling anyone anymore. The general election is round the corner and the way the Nehru-Gandhi scion is going, both his and his party’s future seems bleak.
