Sir — Though Jammu & Kashmir is an integral part of India, it is autonomous, unlike the other 28 States united India. It has its own flag and a Constitution. As everybody knows well, any citizen from J&K has the constitutional right to buy a house or a plot of land anywhere in India, but no Indian citizen from any other State can do so in J&K. Is this not divisive national policyIJ
Ironically, any legislation related to this State, passed by the Union Government, needs the approval of the Assembly of J&K, unlike any other State. By opposing the scrapping of Article 370 of the Constitution, local political parties like the NC and the PDP are playing into the hands of anti-India elements.
