Sir — This refers to the article, “Stalin syndrome has gripped communism” (August 9) by Hiranmay Karlekar. Socialism comes in many flavours. Nearly all socialist leaders, like Jawaharlal Nehru, Hugo Chavez and Ram Manohar lohia, created their own cocktail with unique packaging. But all these flavours and cocktails were disastrous. They encouraged corruption and poverty, in countries like Venezuela, former East Germany, North Korea, and India too.
