Difficult situation

Sir — This refers to the article, “Shrewd diplomacy is way ahead” (March 2) by Pravin Sawhney. The author suggests that India should attend the One Belt One Road (OBOR) meeting when all countries in the neighbourhood of China are attending it, except India. Will this not compromise India’s position vis-à-vis Pakistan-occupied KashmirIJ

China’s might makes shapes its policy — as is evidenced by its contemptuous treatment of the Hague ruling, which rejected Beijing’s claims to the South China Sea, blocking the UN proposal to declare Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar as a terrorist. Unfortunately, India is in a Catch-22 situation.
