This refers to the editorial, “New mantra for peace” (August 30). It is heartening that the valley is returning back to normalcy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plan to invoke the twin principles of unity and compassion is expected to engage all stakeholders for heralding peace in Jammu & Kashmir.
Only a small section of the separatists are fomenting terror, disturbing the life of the common man. The youth who are tormenting trouble should be taken into confidence by the Government by bringing them to the negotiating table giving priority to the safety and security of its people. Development must be top agenda of the Union Government and the State Government. Separatists must be isolated.
