Sir — This refers to the article, “First, deny the truth. Then, condemn it” (November 6) by Rajesh Singh. The Congress in a desperate state and is worried about the determination of the citizens to prevent the party from yet again governing the country. Mr Narendra Modi’s popularity is giving the Congress sleepless nights. So, the party is out to persuade the Election Commission of India to ban opinion polls conducted by the media.
The Government is supposed to make rules for the benefit of its citizens. But this regime is compelling the people to approach the courts against actions that cause them harm and impinge on their rights. The Congress appears to lack in intellectuals who can offer the party sound advice.
