Sir — This refers to the editorial, “A disturbing incident” (January 5). The episode aptly brings out the efficiency of the Coast Guard in protecting India’s territory from Pakistan’s onslaughts on the night of December 31-January 1. It is a singularly significant achievement of our defence establishment.
This has adequately been highlighted by the Modi Government. It is unfortunate that Congress spokespersons are terming the development as fake and manufactured. They are supporting the Pakistani establishment’s denial. We should not be seen supporting Pakistan’s present criminality, which is increasing daily, as seen in frequent present incidents of ceasefire violations in Jammu & Kashmir. The Congress must remember its utter failure to check the 26/11 attack due to its pro-Pakistan outlook.
