Sir — This refers to the article, “Now for a twist in rules to save face” (May 27) by A Surya Prakash. Humility and grace do not come naturally to the Congress. Rather than accept that it has suffered its worst ever electoral defeat, the party is trying to somehow get the Opposition status in Parliament.
Since, in the past, the Congress did not relax the rules to accommodate other parties for the position, it should now be ready to taste its own medicine and sit in the opposition for a long time to come.
