Sir — This refers to the approval of Hindu Marriage Bill, 2015, by Pakistan. In fact, the responsibility of taking care of matters related to interests and welfare of the minority community in Pakistan rests with the majority-run Government over there.
Hence, the Bill, that was hanging fire for decades, was unanimously approved by a Pakistani parliamentary panel. The final draft of the Bill was already cleared on Monday, during a meeting held by the Standing Committee on law and Justice.
Actually, the reason for a delay in the passage of the Bill stemmed from objections raised by members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and the Pakistan Peoples Party.
