Sir — This refers to the article, “A hardline approach in J&K” (May 19) by JK Verma. When terrorism does not have any religion, why is it being connected with the festival of RamzanIJ If the Government is of the view that during this month-long period of Ramzan there will be no terrorist activity and that the terrorists would turn into good human beings, then it is living in a fool’s paradise.
Terrorists are hard-core criminals and do not deserve any leniency. They should be dealt with strictness and tit-for-tat approach. Nexus between separatists and proxy sponsors too is strong and anti-human so much so that they do not deserve to be treated softly. By announcing a unilateral ceasefire, the Government has not only undermined the supreme sacrifice of our Armed Forces and security personnel, but all innocent people who die day-in and day-out at the hands of terrorists.
