Sir — This refers to the editorial, “JNU issue and beyond” (February 15). Anti-national activities by a group of students at the Jawaharlal Nehru University should leave no one in doubt that this Centre-funded institution, named after former Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru, has become a nursery for treason.
While the probe into the present incident is on, it is now clear that, unless these anti-national elements are strongly dealt with, the situation will only worsen. A strong, nationalist Prime Minister cannot remain indifferent to the dangerous degeneration of the nation’s prestigious university.
