Sir — The serial blast at Bodh Gaya temple shows the nefarious designs of anti-social elements that are looking for opportunities to disrupt peace and harmony and, rend the social fabric in the country.
It is clear that some groups or individuals are unhappy with India’s rising global stature and perversely think that the best way to hit the nation’s confidence and shatter unity among the people is to launch terror strikes at important sites including places of worship for maximum impact. Such acts will not just malign the country’s image but also breed an atmosphere of fear, distrust and suspicion among the people. There is an urgent need to foil the evil designs of terror-mongers. The guilty must be caught and punished expeditiously.
