This refers to recent arrest of some half a dozen persons by Delhi Police with regard to stealing classified documents of a Ministry. It is indeed shocking to learn about this development, but it is good that the intelligence agencies and the police have busted the racket. In all probability, this is not a case in isolation where only the Union Ministry of Petroleum was the target by some corporates. We all know what all happened during the Congress-led UPA regime. We knew of the nexus between corporates and bureaucrats. But with these arrests, the issue has acquired deeper dimensions.
After the Niira Radia incident, the new episode has strengthened our belief that there is more to it than meet the eye. It is now for the Narendra Modi Government and the probe agencies to get to the bottom of the truth. It cannot be that just peons etc were working, without some support from higher-ups in Government.
