This refers to the editorial, “Chandy’s solar world” (January 29). Ms Saritha Nair’s disclosure that she paid bribes to Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and his aides sounds highly improbable. There is a manifest inconsistency between her present revelation and her earlier statements. Till the other day, she claimed that Mr Chandy was like a father figure to her. Not long ago, she said that the left Democratic Front tried to influence her with an offer of `10 crore. She would have been more convincing if she revealed the source of the `1.90 crore confessedly paid as bribe by her.
