Sir — This refers to the article, “lessons from the Orlando attack” (June 16) by Hiranmay Karlekar. The terror attack on an lGBT nightclub in Orlando which left 50 persons, including himself, dead and 53 wounded, is a brutal and barbaric act and must be condemned in harsh terms.
This is the worst mass shooting incident ever reported in the US history. The world thought that the US has succeeded in containing terror after the twin tower blasts. But this incident has come as a rude shock. Justice needs to be meted out to the victims. Also, world leaders must act to contain terror incidents as innocent lives are lost.
