Conserve water

Published on:

This summer is reported to be the hottest one ever experienced. Temperatures in some places have touched over 48 degrees Celsius. Many reservoirs have only 10 per cent of storage compared to last summer. Already, over 200 people have lost their lives due to heat waves, with most number of of deaths being reported from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. Water scarcity too is likely to prevail.

The Union Government and the citizens must not waste water. It should be judiciously used and conserved. Also, the Government must see to it that water is made available in the peak of summer when it is most in need.
