This refers to the editorial, “Irresponsible Congress” (December 10). The Congress is least concerned about the progress and prosperity of the country and the people. India is in dire need of various legislative reforms, including the crucial Goods and Services Tax Bill, which need to be enacted. But the Congress will not allow Parliament to function.
The Monsoon Session was washed out by the Congress, which was demanding the removal of just about every senior BJP leader from Ms Sushma Swaraj to Mr Shivraj Singh Chouhan to Ms Vasundhra Raje. Now, in the Winter Session, the Congress has stalled Parliament with protests over a court directive that has been issued to its party leaders in connection with the National Herald case. This order has nothing to do with the Government but Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi sees this as Prime Minister’s “political vendetta”. Is he saying that the Court acted on directions from the Prime Minister’s OfficeIJ The judiciary should take notice of it.
