Sir — This refers to the editorial, “US should gun for guns” (October 4). The deadliest mass shooting by a gunman in las Vegas is unprecedented. This heinous criminal act appears to be well-planned as investigators have unearthed heaps of fire arms from the hotel room where the murderer was staying. Though initial enquiries about the killer have not revealed any criminal record to his name, yet the way he has conducted the heinous crime leaves many questions unanswered.
Though the Islamic State’s claim of responsibility for the crime, it has been initially refuted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Only a thorough enquiry could fix the motive of this massacre. But one thing is clear: This grand old world is turning to be a den of criminals and sick minded annihilators.
