This refers to the editorial, “A laughable comparison” (March 11). It is not understood as to what has led Mr Rajmohan Gandhi, the grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, to stoop thus in flattering his mentor, Mr Arvind Kejriwal.
The Father of the Nation would have hung his head in shame had he been witness to this analogy. While the contribution of the Mahatma could not be denied even by the British against whom he led the freedom movement, Mr Kejriwal has a pack of lies and unfulfilled promises in his inventory. His holier-than-thou attitude will lead his party to doom. Mr Kejriwal's recent fact-finding mission to Gujarat, which Mr Gandhi compared to the Mahatma's salt satyagraha, is ludicrous.
Quite expectedly, Mr Kejriwal has repudiated the development claims of Mr Narendra Modi and gone to the extent of putting 16 questions to the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Curiously, of late Mr Kejriwal has become reticent in denouncing the Congress, for reasons best known to him.
