Clean cricket

Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Makeover for cricket” (January 6). The recommendations made by the panel headed by former Chief Justice of India RM lodha are extraordinary. No right-thinking individual can find faults with the recommendations, but will the Board of Control for Cricket in India implement themIJ Most likely, the BCCI will resist any radical change.

It can be argued that the panel’s recommendations are impractical because they are idealistic and radical, but it is better to aim for the ideal position (the sky) than take on a position of compromise. The BCCI has always compromised.
