Sir — Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi must realise that his every spoken word undergoes strict scrutiny of the media and the Congress generating unwarranted controversies and, therefore, he must choose his words very carefully.
If his ‘puppy’ analogy in the context of 2002 Gujarat violence and ‘burqa’ in the context of Congress’s secularism, were projected as ‘evidence’ of his anti-Muslim mindset, he has none to blame but himself. Instead of getting engaged in anti-Congress rhetoric, Mr Modi should delineate his agenda for providing a corruption-free system and good governance.
