China challenge

Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Beijing’s sabre-rattling” (July 1). Of late, China has been flexing its muscles at India than ever before. Its attempts to construct road in an area which is not its own but claiming them to be so should not go unchallenged. India’s dig at China has been rightly described as the first massive political super sting. China entering Doklam area is highly provocative. Any attempt to change the status quo would stir a hornet’s nest. China has reminded India 1962. But it must also take note that the India of 2017 is different from that of 1962.
