Changing politics

Sir — This refers to the article, “The imminent churn in Delhi politics” (June 18) by Ashok Malik. I agree with the writer’s suggestion that Congress leader Ajay Maken is positioning himself to fill the void after former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit left Delhi politics. As expected, the Aam Aadmi Party will have its first major political challenge in the form of expulsion of 21 MlA’s and re-election and the party may find itself on a slippery wicket as it will be anything but easy for it to retain all those seats as both the Congress and the BJP will make their task difficult.

For the BJP, the party needs to seriously introspect to present a strong a credible face to take on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Not to undermine any other BJP Delhi leader but Harsh Vardhan remains the best candidate for the leadership role at the capital city.
