Sir — It is unfortunate that at a time when the Government, which was waiting to nail down the Congress on the issue of AgustaWestland deals, by allegedly involving the then Prime Minister’s Office, has landed in a soup, with Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju’s issue being brought up at the wrong time.
Rijiju is Prime Minister Modi’s ‘look East’ candidate, much to the chagrin of many leaders in the North-East. This issue may give a stick to the Congress to attack the political fortunes of the Union Minister.
