Republic Day is a day for us to celebrate with the hoisting of our national flag, recitation of our national anthem, singing patriotic songs and organising social and cultural events. On this day, we should remember the sacrifices made by our freedom-fighters and pay due respect to them.
We celebrate our 67th Republic Day today and it was on this day in 1950 when the Constitution of India came into effect. The Constitution is the supreme document which governs our country. Republic Day represents the true spirit of independent India and marks the patriotic fervor of all Indians across the country who keep celebrating this event with great enthusiasm every year.
