Sir — Former Supreme Court judge Markandey Katju has triggered yet another controversy with his comment of offering Kashmir to Pakistan on condition that it should take Bihar too. This is a bizarre and silly remark.
At a time when relations between India and Pakistan have become volatile after the Uri attack, his comment is intolerable. Moreover, it does not speak well of a person of his calibre. He should show restraint while making such comments.
