Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Government of doers” (July 6). Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inclusion of new faces into his Cabinet was clearly guided by their potential and his eye on fair political representation to deprived sections, namely, scheduled castes, tribes and OBCs — an important consideration in our democracy.
The Prime Minister has let it be known that the next 35 months of his regime are crucial in further advancing his development agenda to help the poor come into the national mainstream. His dream is to transform this ancient great nation, mired in poverty for so long, due to misgovernance.
