Sir— This refers to the article, “Persisting with flawed and failed approach” (May 31) by Kalyani Shankar. The writer has not suggested a political solution. However, it may be spelt out as the following — The prevalence of Article 370 has provided an impetus to the mindset of Kashmir as a separate entity. The Bharatiya Janata Party and Peoples Democratic Party coalition Government has done nothing to erase this perception.
The demographic imbalance also requires to be set right. As per the prevailing conditions, Kashmiri Pandits should be rehabilitated. People from other States should also be encouraged to settle there and invest in creating new avenues of employment.
