Bogus claims

Sir — This refers to an interview that Aseemanand supposedly gave to a magazine where he has allegedly implicated RSS leader Mohan Bhagwat in terror attacks. On the face of it, the report seems dubious and motivated. The magazine that has put out this report appears to have joined the intellectually fashionable ‘anti-communal-and-secular’ bandwagon to revive and pull itself out of a limbo of insignificance. A few months ago, it had attempted a vicious write-up on Mr Narendra Modi.

Even a moron would know that the chief of the RSS would never tell anyone about the ‘importance of violence’ when it comes to targeting Muslims, or for that matter anyone. Since the Samjhauta Express and similar other cases have gone nowhere after years of investigation, the ‘secularists’ believe that dragging in the RSS chief’s name might add spice and give traction to their hate campaign. In the process, the spin-masters are blackening their own faces and destroying their credibility.
