Exit polls for the four States and one Union Territory have predicted anti-incumbency in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. They have predicted the return of Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal and a win for the BJP in Assam. However, it has been noticed that exit poll results often do not have any relevance with the final results. In Bihar, exit polls predicted that the BJP and the JD(U) were in a neck-and-neck race, but theMahagathbandhan scored a convincing victory.
