This refers to the report, “19 Bihar Mins facing criminal charges” (November 26). In a democracy, the domination of people with criminal records in legislatures is absolutely against the interest of the country. An administration controlled by criminals is akin to a terrorist-controlled regime and, therefore, people cannot expect unbiased justice from such a Government. The apathy of the electoral authorities, illiteracy, lack of education and voters’ immaturity are significant causes for such a situation.
