Sir — This refers to the article, “World smirks at us, we cry over celebrities” (March 27) by Rajesh Singh. The Congress acts upon the falsehood that religious bigotry and fundamentalism are ailments which affect only the Hindus, and that all other religious communities are impervious to these diseases. By refusing to stand against communal forces, this party has only unwittingly promoted Hindu fundamentalist elements.
