This refers to the editorial, “Hiding behind words” (January 20). In a span of two days, both Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi addressed their respective party leaders and workers.
The biggest difference between the two is the latter's proven record of governance of over more than a decade. It was for the first time on Sunday that Mr Modi explained his vision for India and stressed upon key foundations that he wants to build his India on. For him to criticise the Congress is obvious, but it was necessary that he spelled out his vision clearly. Now he has done that.
Though it's not easy to create infrastructure for 100 ‘smart' cities etc, he had to think beyond the obvious and dream big. What is heartening is his commitment to take all sections of society together in building India. Hopefully, the hype created around him turns into a reality and he gets a chance to govern the country.
