This refers to the editorial, “The tolerance debate” (November 14). The opinions expressed are correct but I am surprised that the BJP, with its overwhelming majority in Parliament and huge support base among the masses, is unable to repel the incessant attacks of the Congress. From a review of the events I feel that the BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Council of Ministers are being bogged down by unthinking, foolish elements on the fringe.
It is a tragedy see Mr Modi expose himself and his office to the attacks of all and sundry in the Opposition. He could have eased his problems had he chosen some bright and trustworthy people to help him in his mission of good governance.
As time goes, it seems like BJP and the Government it leads are creating their own problems. Voters like myself, who gave Mr Modi and his NDA a huge mandate, are feeling distraught in this situation.
