Sir — This refers to the report, “Bihar’s troika targets Modi” (August 31). The joint rally in Patna was attended by Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, RJD supremo lalu Prasad and Samajwadi Party’s Shivpal Yadav. It is surprising that the disciples of Ram Manohar lohia, who was strongly against the Congress, are fraternising with the Congress including Ms Gandhi.
lohia vowed not to meet Jawaharlal Nehru in person but sought to confront him face-to-face when elected to the lok Sabha. This he fulfilled when he was elected to the lower House in the 1960s. The so-called disciples of lohia viz lalu Yadav and Mr Nitish Kumar are sitting together on the same platform with the arch enemy of lohia. This is nothing but rank opportunism out of personal enimosity for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
