Sir — Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech in Parliament on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address was outstanding. He covered every aspect, and there was no trace of arrogance as he invited the Opposition to join in the task of nation-building. His approach has impressed the people.
Unfortunately, many electronic and print media outlets have remained characteristically cool. Their association with the UPA perhaps prohibits them from being fair to Mr Modi.
The Prime Minister should focus on the nation-building goals that he has set. The paid-news media should be ignored. Their true character was revealed by the Radia tapes. After all, it is the same media which, during the Emergency, had crawled when it was asked to bend.
