Sir — In a democracy like ours, voters are the ‘makers and throwers’. In the recent by-elections, the SP-BSP combine won both Parliamentary seats in Uttar Pradesh. But both parties have a track record of being ditchers — lending support to a party and then withdrawing.
Moreover, they are also the ones who take the lead in stalling Parliament. Elected representatives are expected to represent the voters in Parliament and work for them. Instead, they don’t allow Parliament to function. Voters must beware of tactics and games-play of such political parties.
