This refers to the editorial, “Wasted Winter Session” (December 25). The Rajya Sabha’s performance during the last few days of Parliament was beyond expectation. Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari was correct to ask the members to “introspect” over the state of affairs in the House. While the utility of Rajya Sabha is recognised by many democratic countries, in India, the upper House is witness to frequent adjournments. The Congress’s strategy to disrupt the functioning of Parliament will not work any more. It’s time for the partyto introspect.
