Sir — This refers to the article, “A cunning dragon lurks behind the diplomatese” (July 3) by Claude Arpi. The writer offers timely advice to the authorities and the people of the country not to be blindly taken in by Chinese overtures. The solution for us is to have iron-clad partnerships with the US and Japan and an aggressive military capability.
