Sir — This refers to the article, “Giving respectability to terror attacks” (January 14) by Rajesh Singh. Mr Mani Shankar Aiyar issues snobbish statements to be in the limelight and please the minorities. Otherwise, he would not have justified the attack on Charlie Hebdo journalists, calling it an expected backlash. If the ‘backlash’ analogy is accepted, Mr Aiyar must admit that the assassinations of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi too were a result of a backlash.
