This refers to the editorial, “Despicable discourse” (November 20). Congress veteran Mani Shankar Aiyar’s advice to Pakistan, that India-Pakistan ties will improve only when India gets rid of Prime Minister Narendra Modi not only defies logic but is unfortunate to say the least.
As for Congress leader Salman Khurshid, who himself has been an External Affairs Minister, he should have known what to speak.
Both, Mr Aiyar and Mr Khurshid have gone a bit too far. Whatever differences the Congress may have with the BJP, settling scores outside the country, that too in Pakistan is deplorable.
They seem to have forgotten that there is something called ‘national pride’. The Congress must take disciplinary action against both the leaders and ask them to seek apology at least.
