Sir — This refers to the news report, “Is marathoner Jaisha daughter of a lesser IndiaIJ” (August 23). Such callousness from bureaucrats can be traced to rashtranirpeksha (anational and anti -national) and leftist education. We are not taught to be nationalists, which the left derides as jingoism, war mongering and what not. India’s apathetic officials are product of this education. We don’t expect much from them.
