Sir — This refers to the article, “No real democracy sans the majority” (June 10) by A Surya Prakash. The writer is not the first and will not be the last to put the onus of blame on Muslims for every wrong that’s therein the country. If you look at the history of post-Independent India, Muslims have not received their share in the Indian socio-economic arena. They lag behind in almost all areas of development, and the cause for this is well known to everybody.
The writer has blamed the Muslims for the Godhra incident, but does he have any explanation for the crimes perpetrated against the Muslims in Meerut, Mumbai and Maliana (to name just a few)IJ
