Sir — This refers to the editorial, “India’s befitting reply” (September 28). With high expectancy of goodwill, harmony and friendship, India and Pakistan had concluded the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) in 1960.
However, Pakistan continued to perpetrate acts of terror on Indian soil. The recent terror attack on an Army camp in Uri and earlier in Pathankot provide adequate and ample justification to abrogate or amend the IWT treaty for swift retaliation against these dastardly act of cowardice.
