Sir — The Congress and the UPA Government it has led for close to 10 years now have failed to deliver under the leadership of Mr Manmohan Singh, Ms Sonia Gandhi and Mr Rahul Gandhi. Now the party’s first family is trying its luck by roping in Ms Priyanka Vadra to take on the BJP and Mr Narendra Modi. The party believes she can save it from certain defeat. That is why Ms Vadra has begun to criticise Mr Modi viciously.
It is too late for her to help in the situation. The damage that has been caused to the party and the Government by the Prime Minister and the Nehru-Gandhi family is great and cannot be undone by Ms Vadra, and certainly not mid-way through the election. She can take control of the party in the next general election, since her brother has proved to be a complete disaster.
