After the AAP nightmare, Delhi needs clear verdict

The enigma called Delhi continues to baffle people. One is wonder-struck by the keen interest the people of Delhi have been showing in the upcoming election, after the harrowing experience of having ushered in a so-called new era of politics in the capital city a year ago.

After the short-lived joy of a ‘mini-revolution' that saw established political parties being dumped by the wayside and a new dispensation creating a record of sorts on its electoral debut and rightfully being invited to form the Government, Delhi was embroiled in a virtual tamasha where political novices that comprised the new regime held the national capital hostage with their histrionics and lack of governance.

After the nightmare that the Aam Aadmi Party was, an election-weary Delhi is once again in line for another round of poll. Delhiites will be sincerely wishing that this time around, the electorate will refrain from giving a fractured mandate in the Assembly election slated for February 7.
