Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Step towards reform” (November 15). Demonetisation is a most commendable step taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to curb the black money menace. The Government must be applauded for this drive, but the public has some genuine grievances which must be addressed urgently.
People have been losing a day’s wage as they have to stand in long queues to get their money exchanged. Also, the Government must make sure that new notes reach the rural areas immediately.
