Sir — This refers to the editorial, “What an idea, Moilyji!” (September 3). The Congress-led UPA Government has proved to be a complete disaster for the country. Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Veerappa Moily’s suggestion to shut down petrol pumps from 8pm to 8am to reduce fuel consumption, makes one marvel at his silliness. After he came under attack, he claimed it was just an idea by some people.
If the Minister and the UPA regime is really interested in ‘people-talk’, they should know that the people are asking for prices to be reduced and inflation to be curbed. Please don’t add insult to injury by offering such inane suggestions.
